Prism Health North Texas Receives Grant from The Dallas Foundation to Support Pediatric Care

Prism Health North Texas (PHNTX) has received a $30,000 grant from the C. Albert Tatum III Fund of The Dallas Foundation to expand pediatric healthcare services in South Dallas and Oak Cliff. The award marks PHNTX’s first gift since expanding pediatric care to its Oak Cliff Health Center and builds on previous support from The Dallas Foundation, which helped launch the organization’s pediatric program in South Dallas in 2025.

The funding will support PHNTX in strengthening partnerships with local schools and community organizations while expanding pediatric behavioral health, dental care, and asthma management services. PHNTX expects to serve approximately 1,600 children during the grant period, building on its efforts to increase access to pediatric care communities with a high need for services.

“Every child deserves a place where their family feels welcome and can count on getting the care they need,” said Alexis Bromley, Director of Development for PHNTX. “The Dallas Foundation helped us bring pediatric care to South Dallas, and we’re grateful to have their continued support as we grow into Oak Cliff. We want more families to know they have a healthcare team they can turn to for primary care, behavioral health, and dental services as their children grow.”

The grant is part of The Dallas Foundation’s 2026 Summer Grant Cycle, which awarded nearly $2.7 million to 97 nonprofit organizations across Greater Dallas. PHNTX was among 17 organizations receiving funding in the Healthcare Access category, which supports medical, dental, vision, and other healthcare services for individuals and families facing barriers to care.
