Free Condom Delivery Service Available to North Texans

Prism Health North Texas’ (PHNTX) Project Connect team is launching Nice Package, a free condom delivery service available to North Texas for monthly deliveries. Nice Package is here to offer the community an easy, private, and free way to access condoms and promote sexual wellness from home beginning Friday, October 3, 2020.
A 2018 report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed that Dallas County has some of the highest STD rates in the country. With just over 18,000 cases of chlamydia and nearly 600,000 cases of gonorrhea recorded in 2018, consistent and correct use of condoms is highly recommended for all Dallasites.
Barriers faced while purchasing condoms, including not having enough money, not knowing where to go, not knowing what kind of condoms to purchase, and not wanting to be seen buying them, have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. With Nice Package, North Texans can avoid these barriers and add sexual health to their list of regular contactless deliveries with kits delivered to your mailbox in discrete, sanitary packaging.
Once the program launches on October 3rd, participants can choose between the different package options based on each individual’s wants and needs. Due to service demand, one Nice Package may be ordered per person, per month. Ordering is easy, visit freenicepackage.com and place their order.
“While we have had Nice Package in the works for some time, we are especially excited to launch the service as so many North Texans have been utilizing contactless delivery options,” Feliz Ruiz, Behavioral Intervention Specialist with the PHNTX Empowerment Connection said. “Purchasing sexual wellness products has an unnecessary stigma that we hope to help eliminate with this program.”
PHNTX has multiple programs that aim to prevent the transmission of HIV through HIV and STI testing, prevention services such as PrEP, risk reduction counseling, and other supportive services.
