Prism Health North Texas is dedicated to fighting the stigma of having a sexually transmitted infection (or STD). STIs are super common, and unless you’re in a monogamous relationship or abstaining from sex, there’s a good chance you could get one.
You should never be judged or shamed for having an STI, but you do also want to make sure you get a diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible. See a doctor at the first sign of symptoms to minimalize the chance of the STI causing more serious, lasting effects on your body.
Often, people don’t experience symptoms, so getting tested regularly is also essential. Below are resources PHNTX offers to help!
