Changes and Updates to Services Due to COVID-19
Prism Health North Texas Health Centers are still open and performing the following services:
- NEW – Telehealth and Telepsychiatry – Click here for more information and instructions
- Appointments for new medical patients
- Appointments for new PrEP patients
- Established PrEP patient services are completed by phone or telehealth
- HIV/STI testing
- Please call ahead to make an appointment for HIV/STI testing. Same-day appointments may be available.
- Late-night clinic hours resume beginning August 17th: every third Monday of the month clinic will stay open until 7 pm
- Appointments for non-routine visits
- All routine appointments are completed by phone or telehealth
- Transgender care
- Transgender clinic hours: every other Monday from 5 pm – 7 pm

- Services for hormones are completed by phone or telehealth
- Transgender clinic hours: every other Monday from 5 pm – 7 pm
- Behavioral health
- Initial and psychiatric evaluations appointments as needed
- Individual counseling and psychiatric medication management services are completed by phone or telehealth
- Project STEP substance abuse and recovery services are completed by phone or telehealth
- Group Counseling, Project STEP Recovery Support Group, and Program Advisory Board are held via Zoom video conferencing
- Case management
- Welcome appointments are available at all clinics
- Services at Jefferson Tower are available by phone or telehealth
- Linkage to care services are available by phone or telehealth
- Empowerment Connection meetings are being held via Zoom video conferencing or Facebook Live
- Oak Cliff, Oak Lawn, and South Dallas Pharmacies are open for providing full service and mail deliveries of prescriptions
- The pharmacy can now temporarily ship to all insurance plans
- Curbside service is available for prescription pick-up
- Research Studies
- Research study visits are still occurring. Study patients should contact their research coordinator with any questions.
Changes to PHTNX services:
- Postponed – Off-premise testing, prevention, and outreach events
- Closed to visitors – Community and Client Services at Jefferson Tower
