A Dallas Drag Pageant with Purpose

Miss LifeWalk is more than a pageant; it’s a celebration of drag artistry, community, and giving back. Contestants not only showcase their talent and creativity but also help raise vital funds at the competition that support healthcare services for our community. Miss LifeWalk is a fundraising event for Prism Health North Texas; thus, all money collected by contestants and performers is donated back to support the organization’s mission.

Every dollar raised by contestants and attendees goes back to our community. By showing up and showing out, you’re making a difference.

The winner of Miss LifeWalk becomes an ambassador for Prism Health North Texas, promoting community healthcare, safe sex, getting tested, knowing your status, and being PrEPared! The reigning Miss LifeWalk uses her platform to raise funds and acts as an advocate for North Texans who are uninsured or under-insured.

About LifeWalk

Your help and participation in LifeWalk make equitable healthcare a reality for North Texans.

LifeWalk was one of the largest and longest-running HIV awareness events in North Texas. For years, over 1,000 advocates have gathered for a 5k walk, community festival, and free HIV testing.

While we no longer host a 5k walk, we put on various fundraisers throughout the year, from drag shows to putt-putt bar crawls to other fabulous and fun events. All funds raised through these efforts directly support our community through the services we provide, including HIV/STI medical care and prevention, primary medical care, women’s health, pediatric services, and more.

The transition away from a traditional 5K allows Prism Health North Texas to directly apply more funds raised to its mission and services as the cost of facilitating an event of that scale has continued to rise, similar to the rising cost of healthcare in the United States.
