PHNTX served as a community anchor for North Texas in 2025, offering care that didn’t quit even as the healthcare landscape shifted around us. 2025 brought growth, challenges, and many reasons to stay hopeful about the future of community health.
Growing Care for Our North Texas Neighbors
In 2025, Prism Health North Texas deepened its commitment to primary care for all, pediatric services, and women’s health, building on its designation as a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike in 2024. This expansion helped us care for thousands of patients through medical visits, checkups, and ongoing support for families across Dallas and surrounding counties.
With your support, PHNTX provided care for 17,735 patients, including over 500 pediatric patients, delivered 28,000 medical visits, and answered 55,742 calls from people seeking help with insurance, coverage, or next steps in their care. Our teams also cared for 614 people experiencing homelessness, ensuring that neighbors without stable housing could still see a provider, receive medicine, and stay connected to care.

PHNTX welcomed several new providers across its health centers in 2025. New providers in primary care and behavioral health expanded access to appointments and helped more patients receive care under one roof. These additions ensure that as patient needs rise, PHNTX can continue to meet them with compassion, expertise, and stability.
In the Face of Funding Cuts
Even as community support grew, 2025 brought serious challenges to prevention services. Federal funding cuts affecting ACA Navigators and CDC-backed prevention programs reduced resources that help North Texans connect to coverage and stay ahead of chronic illness and other conditions.
These cuts meant that some services paused or changed at the end of May and into June, making it harder for many people to access vital prevention and education. In response, PHNTX leaned even more into its role as a community anchor, working to keep care going when other options disappeared. PHNTX continues to pay close attention to administrative decisions, we can make quick pivots for our patients as needed.
Fundraising Events That Fueled Access
This year also marked the launch of Care, on the Rocks, an upscale evening set against old Hollywood glamour that raised funds for essential healthcare services. As our first major fundraising event as an FQHC Look-Alike, Care, on the Rocks helped sustain care for the patients who rely on PHNTX each year.

PHNTX hosted several community-powered fundraisers that strengthened healthcare access. Events like Drag Brunch, Miss LifeWalk, and the Clover Classic putt-putt pub crawl brought people together in creative ways to support LGBTQIA+ care, primary care, behavioral health, and HIV services.
PHNTX welcomed new leadership in development, including Alexis Bromley as Director of Development, to strengthen fundraising and community partnerships that sustain our mission.
Improving Patient Experience
Listening to patient feedback remained a core focus in 2025. PHNTX reviewed comments and suggestions from patients to improve workflows, scheduling, and communication. Updates in processes and coordination aimed to reduce wait times, streamline check-ins, and make visits smoother for patients and families.
These changes are part of PHNTX’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, affordable care that is respectful, efficient, and centered on each patient’s needs. From the front desk to the exam room to the pharmacy, our goal is to make every step of care easier to navigate.
Prism Health North Texas: Care That Does Not Quit
Across all these changes, one theme guided PHNTX in 2025: Care should not quit when life gets hard. When families lost insurance, could not afford a visit, or had no clinic close to home, PHNTX remained a trusted anchor in a shifting health system.
If you or someone you know needs primary care, pediatric services, women’s health, or support staying connected to care, Prism Health North Texas is here. Same-day and next-day appointments may be available, and PHNTX accepts Medicaid and Medicare while offering a sliding fee scale, so no one is turned away based on ability to pay.
