Darron Brewer is the Empowerment Program Manager at PHNTX and part of the PHNTX community outreach team. A proud graduate of the University of North Texas, he was inspired to pursue a career in public health and advocacy after working in the social services industry for many years and developing case management, administrative, and program development skills. These skills have helped him highlight and promote professionalism in the workplace to improve service quality and support people in need.
Prior to working at PHNTX, Darron was selected to develop and implement a behavioral intervention program at ASD. The program focused on addressing mood management and improving impulse control from a trauma-informed perspective. It also identified useful tools and interventions that can help with managing crisis situations.
In his free time, Darron enjoys being with friends and family, traveling to exotic places, reading, and drawing. He also enjoys nature, hiking, fishing—and he recently became a swimming enthusiast. His life motto is “be a light in a dark place.”
