Healthcare should never feel out of reach. At Prism Health North Texas (PHNTX), we believe everyone deserves good care, no matter how much money they make or what kind of insurance they have. That’s why we became a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike (FQHC-LAL) and offer programs to help make healthcare affordable for everyone.
What Is an FQHC-LAL?
An FQHC-LAL is a community health center that meets federal standards to offer affordable, high-quality care. These centers serve everyone, including people with insurance, people with Medicaid or Medicare, and people without insurance.
For eligible patients, PHNTX can offer important services at lower costs. We provide primary care, women’s health, pediatric services, behavioral health, dental care, and pharmacy access all in one place.
The Sliding Fee Scale
At PHNTX, we want to make sure cost never keeps you from getting care. We use a Sliding Fee Scale, which means you may pay less based on your income and household size. Anyone can apply, no matter their insurance situation.
Reduced Cost of Care
Our Financial Navigators can work with you to see if you qualify for any of PHNTX’s reduced-cost programs. These programs can help lower your bills and make it easier to stay on track with your healthcare.
We are not a free clinic, but we do offer reduced rates to those who qualify, as well as payment plans, making our healthcare affordable to everyone. Our goal is to give quality care to all, regardless of anyone’s ability to pay.
Additional Savings Programs
PHNTX also offers a Prompt Pay Discount for patients who pay their bill within five days of their visit. This is another way we help make healthcare affordable for our patients and their families.
How Ryan White Funding Supports Care
PHNTX also gets help from the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, which makes care more affordable for people living with HIV. Eligibility is based on income, where you live, and HIV status. This funding helps pay for doctor visits, lab tests, medicines, and case management.
With Ryan White support and help from our FQHC-LAL programs, PHNTX can give complete care to everyone, whether you are newly diagnosed or have been in care for many years.
