It’s important to be registered, know what’s on the ballot, and make a plan to vote. This guide will help you check your registration, learn about key election dates, find out what to expect on the ballot, and take steps today so you don’t miss your chance to participate in local democracy.
Why Is Voting Important?
Voting is the way people can help make big decisions in their city, state, and country. When people vote, they help choose leaders and decide on important issues, like schools, healthcare, and laws that affect everyone’s daily life. If you don’t vote, your voice won’t be heard, and others will make choices for you.
Sometimes, people think their vote doesn’t matter, but that is not true. Many elections are decided by just a few votes! Your voice is powerful. Don’t believe the myths. Every vote counts and can make a real difference.
Key Dates for Texas Elections 2025

It’s important to register before the deadline, or you will not be able to vote in this year’s election. Mark your calendar, so you don’t miss these important dates.
How to Check or Update Your Voter Status
