Constitutional protections alone have not ensured accessible and affordable health services for all women\, so it is up to individuals to increase their understanding of their rights. \nThe goal is for YOU to increase your knowledge on why you would take and how you would access PrEP and nPEP\, normalize and destigmatize conversations around your and your partner’s HIV status and STI history\, and learn how to identify and combat intimate partner violence. Attendees will be empowered to become more comfortable with condom negotiation\, disclosing status\, and setting rules for consent. \nThe speakers are eager to answer your questions. DESCRIPTION:You Can End The HIV Epidemic\n\nJoin your friends and neighbors in raising money and awareness that the HIV Epidemic still exists – but it doesn’t have to.\nParticipants in LifeWalk support Prism Health North Texas and other community partners in ending the HIV Epidemic in North Texas. HIV is a treatable chronic disease and individuals living with HIV can live a long fulfilling life if they are able to access and maintain treatment. You as a participant enable individuals to connect to the broad array of services provided by Prism Health North Texas\, which provide wrap around health care and social care. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nTurtle Creek Park\n11:00 am – Festival opens\n1:00pm – Walk begins\nLifeWalk is a 5k walk through the Turtle Creek/Uptown neighborhoods. Before the walk\, take advantage of free HIV testing\, music\, games\, and more! Don’t forget to bring your 4-legged family members as well!
